How Denkuan Works
Denkuan helps Ethiopian shoppers buy products from international retailers. You tell us what you want, we find it, calculate all costs, facilitate payment in local Birr, and ship it to you in Ethiopia.
1. Shop for Me: Paste product links, upload images, or describe what you need, and add items to your Shopping List
2. Checkout: We verify availability and prepare your items for Checkout including all shipping & service fees
3. Payment: Review your total price, confirm your order, and pay in local Birr
4. Track & Receive: Track your order status. We will update you with a pick up location once your package arrives!
Price Transparency
Your Checkout total is a binding offer. Once you confirm your order, you pay exactly that price - guaranteed.
Before You Confirm: Sometimes retailers change their prices between your Shopping List submission and our review. If this happens, we update the Checkout total to reflect the new price.
After You Confirm: Your price is locked. Even if the retailer raises their price, you only pay what was listed when you confirmed. We honor our agreement with you.
What Influences Your Price
Exchange Rate (USD to ETB)
We use the current market rate when preparing your Checkout total. Your total is locked once you confirm.
International Shipping
Shipping from US retailers to Ethiopia, plus customs. Pickup available at our location or request delivery for extra cost.
Product Category
Different items have different associated fees (tax, shipping, and service fees) based on size, weight, and type.
Smart Shopping Tip
Bundle your items and add multiple items to your Shopping List at once to save money on associated fees. The more items you order together, the better value you get.
Did You Know?
We Pass Savings to You
If a product goes on sale after you add it to your Shopping List, we pass the savings directly to you. For example, if you added an $80 item and it drops to $60, you only pay for $60 plus associated fees when you checkout.
Pay in Birr
You pay locally in Ethiopian Birr (ETB). No need for foreign currency or international payment methods - we handle all the currency exchange for you.
24/7 Team
We have team members in both Ethiopia and the United States working around the clock. This means your Shopping List items are processed faster, often within an hour or two.
